American Legion Auxilary

ALANY-Header-2

Founded in 1919, The American Legion Auxiliary was originally organized to assist The American Legion.  Since then, the Auxiliary has achieved its own unique identity while working side-by-side with the veterans who belong to The American Legion. Like the Legion, the Auxiliary’s interests have broadened to encompass the entire community.

The American Legion Auxiliary is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization. Through its nearly 10,500 units located in every state and some foreign countries, the Auxiliary embodies the spirit of America that has prevailed through war and peace. Along with The American Legion, it solidly stands behind America and her ideals.

Over the years, The American Legion Family has influenced considerable social change in America, won hundreds of benefits for veterans, helped military families through transition and produced many important programs for our country’s youth.

Today, ALA members across the country are helping military families cope with the effects of multiple deployments. The toll on our all-volunteer force and their families has been enormous. The Auxiliary’s efforts are focused in three primary areas:

Veterans/Military Support & Advocacy
Family Support
Youth Development

The American Legion Auxiliary has many different ways you can join, you can either become a member, become an advocate, or volunteer. For an application to join one of the following, you can click here.
